NGL Qualifier #3: Upper Unionville

On September 12, we closed out the regular season at Upper Unionville Golf Club in Markham for the third and final qualifier of Golf Canada's National Golf League, the last stop on the road to the NGL Provincial Championships.

This one was a long time coming. The round was originally scheduled for July, but rain washed it out and pushed it to August 8. When we finally teed it up, Mother Nature came at us twice. We pushed through the first rain delay, but the second one shut us down for good. Big respect to Upper Unionville for holding it down as our tournament partner through the chaos.

A month later, our leaguers came back to finish what they started off the blue tips, all 6,101 yards of it.

Pre-round

Before the first tee, the crew got loose with comped stretch therapy from MVPR Therapy and warmed up on the short game area, putting green and hitting net. Everyone also took home a custom ballmarker from ON THE MARK Golf.

Results

Third time was the charm, and it came down to the wire. Two teams finished tied at the top with 42 points apiece and shared the win, each taking home custom trophies by Caddi Signature. Akbar Bhanji and Michael Sarangi were right behind at 40.
