On August 23, round two of our Two-Person Best Ball regular season took us to Copper Creek Golf Club in Kleinburg, the second stop on Golf Canada's National Golf League road to the Provincial Championships.
Copper Creek is a regular on Canada's top 100 lists. Designed by Doug Carrick and known for its excellent conditions and private-club feel, it sits in the scenic Humber River Valley. The front nine winds through dramatic elevation changes that demand precise club selection, while the back nine opens up and flattens out. At roughly 6,600 yards from the blues, it demands your attention on every shot.

A dozen teams teed it up for a best-ball Stableford round, and it did not go down easy. Wind, rain and a course that doesn't hand out any favours had our leaguers battling the elements early.

Once the weather finally cleared, they got to work.

Pre-round
After grabbing their goodie bags at registration, the crew got loose with comped stretch therapy from MVPR Therapy, fuelled up on coffee and matcha from ROOMS at 450 Dufferin, and warmed up on the range. Everyone also took home a custom ballmarker from ON THE MARK Golf.

Results
With a dozen teams ready to compete, one team clearly stood above everyone else. Alyshahn Kara-Virani and Jonathan Tomines made it look easy, going back-to-back after their win at Watson's Glen and taking home custom trophies by Caddi Signature.
Once the cards were signed, everyone made their way to the Loop Lounge on the patio for a post-round retail experience from Bentgrass Golf Shop. Two rounds down on the road to the Provincial Championships.
